However, the biggest advantage of aluminum solutions is their exceptional durability and this with a low weight of aluminum itself. This material is characterized by high resistance to moisture, mechanical damage, UV rays and perfectly tolerates the passage of time. The use of aluminum, unlike PVC, allows the implementation of the most daring architectural visions, even those of unusual shapes and sizes. Hence, you can often hear that aluminum is the favorite material of architects. Contrary to popular belief, aluminum structures perfectly meet strict energy standards, thanks to which they can be successfully used in low-emission construction. Aluminum windows and doors can actually be painted in any color we can think of. This allows you to create individual and unique projects that will stand out from the surrounding buildings.

Advantages of PVC construction

The main advantage of PVC windows and doors is their price. It is the cheapest solution among all types of window and door joinery available on the market. Solutions of this type are easy to maintain and maintain, have low thermal transmittance coefficients, thanks to which they can be used in passive construction. PVC tolerates weather conditions well, although it gives way to aluminum solutions in this respect. PVC constructions, like those made of aluminum, can be available in many colors. The times when only white windows were available on the market are fortunately gone forever.

Aluminum or PVC?

It is difficult to answer this question unequivocally. All solutions currently available on the market have very good thermal and functional parameters. First of all, you should look at the design of the house itself and answer a few key questions:

  • What are the dimensions of glazing in the building?
  • What is the location of the object, in which direction of the world do the windows overlook?
  • What budget can you spend on woodwork?
  • What type of wall construction was used in the facility?

By answering these questions, it will certainly be easier for you to make the right decision and choose the right type of windows and doors for your investment.
